Salon 14 North

I’ve been going to Salon 14 North for over 20 years, and I can honestly say it’s a place of comfort and care. Russ gives wonderful haircuts — he’s not only incredibly talented but also one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. His assistant Alexis is super sweet and always brings such fun, positive energy to every visit. Over the years, Bridget, Stephanie, and Felicia have all done my color, and I always get compliments on it! They use Goldwell hair color, which I truly believe is one of the best products out there. Everyone at Salon 14 North really tries to make you happy. It’s not just about great hair — it’s about feeling good every time you walk in the door. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

I followed Felicia to Salon 14 North from her previous salon, so finding Salon 14 was a happy accident. Of course, I followed Felicia because I liked her work, and it's a pleasure to sit in that chair and talk to her while she works. The salon is nice and not too big. All the staff are friendly, and it's really nice that Tammy has known me by name since really early on. She's great about trying to accommodate me (and others) to schedule my appointments. I’ve been getting my hair cut here for years, and I couldn’t be happier. Russ always gives me a great cut that looks exactly as I hope, and grows out well every time. Consistently top-notch work. The whole team is friendly, professional, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The salon is clean, comfortable, and well-run, and it’s clear they care about every client’s experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality service and a place where you know you’ll walk out feeling great.

I’ve never posted a business review and wouldn’t have predicted I would for this business. I don’t believe in dwelling in negativity either. However, I was reminded this platform exists to hopefully help others from similar experiences & for that I was convinced to submit this post. It is important to start by noting that I was a client of Stephanie’s and believe she was the best colorist I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, she does not work on Fridays, therefore I could not book a prom formal updo for my daughter. I was offered to book with Bridget, who’s also colored my hair in the past and felt that would be fine- especially since my daughter was only interested in the popular twisted sides into a pinned-up hair in the lower nape of her neck style. Have been coming to see Stephanie for years, and in love with how my hair looks every time! She’s the only one who can get my dark hair to an ashy brunette balayage, and takes the time to understand what I’m looking for and asks for lots of inspo pics! Also it last for awhile, and she takes care of the integrity of my hair!
