As a young man at first I was hesitant to get my haircut at a salon. But I was frustrated with the barbershop experience, often feeling like my haircuts were rushed, and could no longer afford having my hairline get pushed back every haircut. So I gave Salon 1026 a try. They made me feel right at home from day 1. All of the staff are incredibly genuine and friendly, always greeting me by name and asking how my day is. My stylist Maritza always goes above and beyond to make sure my haircut is perfect, on top of that she takes the time to educate me about hair, teaching me about my specific hair type, how to style it, and how to preserve it for longevity. Maritza is the best. She has been cutting my curls for 17 years. She knows I don't like to spend a lot of time with my hair so she gives me a style that works for me everyday. I am in love with my most recent cut. Some Deva curl cream and gel on sopping curls. A good cotton t-shirt plopping, a small dab of leave in on damp hair and 8 minutes with the diffuser. 4/25/24 uploaded a new pic to show what the shape looks like 9 months later. (I only cut my hair once a year). It grew in great. I love the shape and my curls are still popping.

I love going to Salon 1026! I always leave feeling like a movie star. Marisa is very understanding when I want to make a sudden change but she is also the voice of reason. She wants to make you when you leave her chair you are happy. She understand my hair and it’s challenges and is always looking out for products that will work with my hair type. She is a great colorist and stylist and will never cut more than what you ask. I couldn’t be happier!!
