I haven't been to Sally's in so long I love the diversity that they have in the store. Women of color can finally understand and help me decide what products are best for my natural hair. Would love to see more women of darker complexion working here! All of the workers are great here I just love the inclusivity

I spent over $200 at this Sally Beauty location (Ocean Gate Shopping Center in Hawthorne, CA) on July 22, 2025, and left feeling dismissed and undervalued as a customer. When I walked in, a Latina associate greeted me kindly, but she went on break shortly after. The only other staff present — a Latino male associate with glasses — was unhelpful and dismissive. I asked about semi-permanent dyes and a matching facial cream from the Bliss rose-scented line. His responses were vague: “I think we’re out,” or “I have no idea,” with no effort to check or follow up. Meanwhile, another customer — a Black woman who appeared lighter-skinned with straight hair — was offered help without even asking. The lady working there claimed to know all about perms. She didn't know the first thing about perms. I had to explain to her that putting chemicals on hair can damage it. She repeatedly asked me what my natural hair color, um your looking at it asking me again isn't going to change the facts. She kept talking in circles and was really rude. I regret buying anything from there. I recommend not going here even if they don't know what's going on they can be polite.

They all tell you different prices & when you question it its “oh we’re only human” then take account of it and dont walk off like a snob.

On April 7, 2025, at approximately 8:25 p.m., the elderly hispanic female who works at this exact location was excruciatingly rude and intrusive. With a demanding and domineering tone of voice, she forced me to answer her question, and she did not want to check out my items until I answered her question. It is none of her business what I want to use the product for. And she demanded an answer. She then tried to place a facade by acting as if she were trying to advise me from her dictatorship personality. She can just provide the advice with no questions asked if that were really her intention. In conclusion, if someone sees the cameras, it will be evident that she was using an angry and domineering tone of voice. It is not her responsibility to mentally and verbally abuse costumers.
