I had a deeply uncomfortable experience at Sally’s Beauty Supply. From the moment I walked in, a white female associate who appeared to be heavier-set immediately approached me, asking if I needed help. I politely declined, but she then proceeded to follow me in the same aisle, silently watching me, making me feel targeted and unwelcome. I noticed she did not do this with other white customers. This felt like blatant racial profiling and is completely unacceptable. No one should feel singled out or harassed while trying to shop. I do not recommend this store. This is profiling and it creates a hostile, unwelcoming environment. Judging by other reviews, this keeps happening — nothing is being fixed. What’s the point of replying “contact us” if the same behavior continues in this store?

Love this location! They are always knowledgeable and great customer service! Few days ago I went to get color correction that the salon professional made my virgin light brown hair (with some gray) dark brown/black on my light skin tone. The store associate was very attentive despite multi tasking (she was the only one at that time). I explained my story and showed before pictures. She suggested Iroiro Color Remover. I couldn’t believe how simple the process was, no harsh smell and most of all, it worked! It lighten it enough to make me satisfied. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but I really appreciated her assistance.

I came in to buy some nail polish & tips today. Spoke with the sales girl for a minute, she showed me their limited inventory and then literally stared at me the entire time i was browsing. it was creepy. how are people supposed to feel comfortable shopping and browsing when the associate is staring at you from three feet away?

I just left this store and tbh I felt like the woman acting like she was helping me was racist. They were following me around the entire store not even helping me, but just because they thought I would steal something. I didn’t even want to shop anymore after seeing what they did

Usually have the best experience here with every sales associate my daughters and I have dealt with, especially one named Rocio. Went in june 14th at apparently 7:59 pm my daughters and I didn’t notice the time. We knew exactly what we wanted and had it on hand. But JOCELYN I guess was all the way in the back, walks to the front and us rudely and exclaims “you guys gotta go we are closed!!” Because I was with my children I didn’t want to make a big deal, but do better when training your employees, because she isn’t it. If you don’t know how to deal with customers you shouldn’t be in this field. We drove to saddle brook location and gladly gave our money to them.
