Salima African Hair Braiding

My first time here! I was a walk-in. Drove an hour reading google reviews. They were all very nice to me. The place was super clean! They provide hair and reasonable prices. I got there at 3 and was out little after 7. I can only complain about the back of my hair. The owner did a great job on the front. The older women who helped her made my parts really big in the back. She also only added hair at the office my real hair. The front don't match the back very uneven. I called and if the back could be fixed. Gave me a time and date. Did a better job and was nice about it and apologized for the time.

Terrible customer service from the owner (pictured)!!! The braider herself was kind, sweet, and made sure to take great care of me. However, at the end of the service she told me to pay Salima “the owner” and that’s where everything went downhill. Her Apple Pay kept giving an error, and instead of troubleshooting or offering another solution, she got upset with me! She then told me to “walk to an ATM” that wasn’t even my bank. Absolutely not. I let her know which bank I use, and we located one only 7 minutes away. She then asked me to leave my phone or ID which makes no sense. Someone could ride with me, and I wasn’t about to drive without my license or directions. She kept trying to argue, and I refused to engage. I will not refer anyone to them because I got my hair braided yesterday. She did not use any gel on my hair and when I came back, she had a very nasty attitude and horrible customer service if I can give them a negative star I will.

I’m very disappointed with my service from Monday. The first time I visited the lady that sits towards the end did my hair and it was wonderful. Monday Salina did my hair and I am not pleased at all. Firstly, she kept stopping in the midst of doing hair after convincing me to get knot less braids. It was an hour before she started on me because I’m assuming she was in the back eating. I was getting very irritated because she would do about 2 or 3 braids and then stop. Then at 4:30 she left to get something to eat and was gone for 30 minutes. I don’t appreciate when people are not considerate of my time. After expressing to her my disdain about the time she began rushing. My sections in the back are so wide and spread apart that I barely have any braids. I expressed to her from the beginnin

I was there 3 hours four braids. She caked so much product on my hair it turned white. The braids are twisted and stiff in the back. I usually go to Riverdale, but they were close to home. Never again. One customer came back about the entire front of her head turning white & Salima stated she can go somewhere else next time.
