Royal Thai wellness massage

I really wanted to like this place and was hoping to find a great hole-in-the-wall massage spot. Unfortunately, this was the worst massage I’ve ever received. I booked a couples massage with my boyfriend. His therapist did a decent job, but my experience was completely different. I specifically requested a Swedish massage, but what I received was nothing close to Swedish. There were no long, flowing strokes or gradual warm-up. Instead, the therapist immediately began digging her thumbs and elbows aggressively into pressure points and “knots,” especially in my shoulders and traps. I had to ask her multiple times to stop because it was painful. She also pressed hard down my shin bone for no apparent reason, and at one point her thumb slipped and dug even deeper into my leg. Most concerning

Just in WOW heard about royal thai from another masseuse I visited in Lincoln park been on the search for a good deep tissue massage and I finally found my new place. The space is beautiful and very zen. The masseuse was amazing I had a one hour Thai combo. The best I’ve had in the Chicago area. I’m so happy with the results I felt amazing after. I will definitely be coming in monthly for my massages and giving sue a try as I hear she’s good at deep pressure. I highly recommend 10/10

I've been getting a 90-minute Thai combo massage every other week from SUe for four times now. The frequency is much needed due to some issues I have been experiencing. Every time I leave her place, I am better. The first time was rough. I was tight. And in pain. SUe worked diligently and identified all the issues, and worked very hard in every area with great results -- all in 90 minutes. That night I slept so, so well. Had not been able to sleep so hard in so long. It has been a no-brainer to keep going back to SUe. I look forward to the day when I would get a massage only for relaxation, but for now, I feel fortunate and grateful that I've found SUe and I am able to heal without medication.

My experience with Royal Thai Wellness went above and beyond. I booked it last minute because my whole body was in pain and it felt so tight. I’ve never had a Thai massage before and I didn’t know what to expect. Id argue now that it’s better than before our traditional Swedish massage. I came out feeling so much better I’m going to have to go regularly now!! THANK YOU!

Royal Thai Wellness is a gem! The place is clean, peaceful, relaxing, and smells so good! The whole experience from beginning to end was perfect! Sue has magic hands and you can tell she has so much experience and passion for her work. I left feeling like a weight was taken off of me… lighter and so calm. I had been having some aches and tightness in certain areas that are now gone! I can’t thank them enough!!
