Royal Nails

I stopped into this salon for acrylic nails and ended up with a fungus on 7/10 nails. The acrylic tips only lasted 5 days before it began lifting around the edges which I knew was going to happen due to improper filling. As a licensed cosmetologist and full time hairstylist I can not afford to have lifting acrylic as my hands are constantly in water. Which I also explained to the nail tech. It has now been one month since this appointment and I hate to say they I honestly regret stumbling into this place. I still have the fungus on my nails and it’s honestly so embarrassing as I work on my clients and often have my hands in their faces. DO NOT COME HERE!!! There’s a reason there are so many bad reviews but I didn’t listen. I had an awful experience. The older woman at the very first counter tried to convince me multiple times to just get another dip manicure when I only wanted to take my dip polish off. When I refused, she had a bad attitude and did a SOAK OFF. I haven’t had anyone soak off my polish in years??? I told her every other place does foil and it’s 10x faster. She ignored me and said that this is faster. It took nearly an hour of my nails soaking in acetone while it destroyed my nails and cuticles. Whenever the other places used foil, my nails were still strong and in-tact. Now, it’s been over one week and my nails are so brittle, breaking daily, peeling, as are my cuticles peeling. So here is an updated review. I stopped by the salon today to see if they could do anything about the problem since my nails didn’t even last one week. The guy who I believe is the owner of the salon was so rude and offered me no service to fix the issue. Instead, he asked for $35 more to fix the broken nails as if it was my fault. When I told him I would no longer be coming there or sending my friends or family members, he said he didn’t care about any of that as he has plenty of customers knocking on his door. I can’t believe I paid $70 for these nails and additionally tipped that lady just because I was nice and felt bad that they live on tips. But this is how they treat me for being a loyal customer for years.

I had a terrible experience at this nail salon, and I urge you to please listen to me and other reviewers, and stay away from this place as far as you can to save your money. I wanted a nice fall olive color for my nails called “safari.” Even after explaining and showing her the pictures a 1000 times, the old lady with short grey hair did my nails a completely different color, darker than a Christmas tree. She cut two of my fingers in different places, and I had to ask her to do something to stop the bleeding. The nails were so bumpy, and she applied so much pressure on my fingers that they hurt for the first two days. Within the first week, two nails broke off when I was just putting my sneakers on with no pressure. The other nails started peeling, and the first layer of powder came off.

Rose did a very nice job. She is very nice and friendly as well as all the stuff. She takes her time and doesn’t rush.
