5 stars! I love coming here. The place itself is so relaxing, and refreshing. I go to Heidi, and she's incredible. When I started coming here last year I came with very damaged hair and fading out fashion colors. Heidi is a great listener, and incredibly intuitive. I couldn't properly express with words what I wanted any of the times I've been here, and Heidi has always gotten me results better than what I imagined. I have full faith in her, and now I can come in with a very limited description of what I want and confidently know I'll leave happy. Some places force you to heat treat, especially when you have them dye your hair, but Heidi has been so accommodating and has made me feel respected when I ask to leave with wet hair. I left the Cape two weeks ago with a self-styling cut and foil from Genny who was trained by Lenny. I just had to call them today to say that I am over the moon with happiness that my hair is finally looking wonderful with no fuss or angst by me! Lots of compliments too. The foils are food grade; not chemicals and as a retired teacher I chose Roots because of Lenny's dedication to non-toxic products and the training that is done by him. Genny told me she has been there twelve years! Lenny has quite a story about why he chose self-stying hair design and organic products. I hope you get to meet them. I'm driving back from NY to see them in December.

What an incredible discovery! Genny and Lenny are true professionals in their art. Combined with their warmth and congeniality, they make a visit to the salon a truly unique and enjoyable experience. Genny artfully sculpted my first ever truly wash and wear cut combined with highlighting that did not result in my usual itching and sensitive scalp post processing experiences. True to their advertising, the salon is spotless with not even a whiff of salon chemical orders. As Lenny put it, I'm now a "Roots Girl"! I look forward to my future visits with him and Genny.

Being a breast cancer survivor, I wanted to find a non-carcinogenic, organic salon. I am so grateful that I found Roots Organic Salon. Lenny, the owner, is so down to earth for being a well known hairdresser to the Kennedy's! Wow! He impressed me so much with his stories that I could've listened to him for hours.
