Roots on the River Salon

Lov my hair color! Michelle was my stylist. I had lost touch with her for years as she used to color and cut my hair, but we were able to reconnect at ROOTS on the river!! She is the best in EC for coloring and cutting hair! The salon itself is gorgeous inside and and the other girls are very friendly. Parking can sometimes be a pain on water street but there's a parking lot across the street. The salon was super clean! Thks Michelle Tiffany

I got a haircut and style from Michelle Winslow and she was wonderful! We had a consultation discussing what kind of cut I wanted and what would work best with my hair type. Michelle was very knowledgeable and informative, giving great tips for styling my fine hair - including demonstrating some techniques for me. Overall, I LOVE my hair and can't wait to go back again!

TOTALLY RECOMMEND! Here’s a quick back story, I waited about 5-6 months to get my hair done. I’ve always been a platinum blonde for about 4 years now. However I got my roots done some where else & my roots turned out yellow / gold.. very disappointing very distasteful I can’t stand that type of look on myself.. I wasn’t able to get another appointment until a week later, I couldn’t wait that long considering how my head had looked. I walked in Roots On The Rivers & spoke with Michelle (just about the only salon open a Monday in Elizabeth city) showed her my hair, explained that I had an event that I had to attend to the next day.. she was definitely understanding and did her absolute best. Got me in later that day (she’s booked & busy) & did her magic on my head! Being platinum for 4 years

I can not saw enough good things about this place. The attention to small detail is very nice. Clean, simple, sleek and modern design with all the up-to date technologies. Each station has a place you can sit your items on and hand jackets or purses. You can tell the customers comfort was considered. I had a wash, cut and blow out with Kaleigh who was amazing. She walked me through every step, provided information and was easy to have a conversation with. I only wish I would have got before and after pictures.

Love this Salon! Clean, bright, and cozy. Michelle has been my stylist for years, and I won't let anyone else color/style my hair. She is extremely knowledgeable, and when you consult with her, she will honestly tell you what will work for your hair condition and hair type. I will drive from Chesapeake, VA, because she is worth it!
