Andy is truly exceptional. I’ve trusted him through big changes, from chopping my hair into a beautiful bob to growing it out long, and every single time I leave, I absolutely love my hair. My hair is naturally heavy and thick, yet Andy somehow makes it feel light and voluminous without ever losing fullness. Beyond his talent, Andy is such a pleasure to work with. He’s easy to talk to, thoughtful, and genuinely listens. Gabby helps him with my hair and she is amazing as well. Together, they really understand what I’m looking for and always make sure the style suits me. I always leave feeling confident, refreshed, and taken care of. Book the appointment.

Andy really is a special stylist. I’ve been working with him for close to a decade, and continue to be Amazed by his constant evolution within this profession- which by the way in my opinion is hard to find a true high quality stylist within it. Now getting to experience his new endeavors of this salon makes me appreciate him beyond words. I hope this review can expose a small percentage of the high quality you can expect visiting this studio- because I can guarantee you will experience the remaining percentages yourself the minute you walk through the door and sit in this man’s chair. 5 stars isn’t quite enough- and you need to go experience it for yourself.

I’ve been seeing Steph for years for both cuts and color, and she never disappoints. I was excited to follow her to Root and Refine because the salon is absolutely beautiful. You can tell how much passion and thought went into creating the space. The atmosphere feels both welcoming and elevated, and the whole experience is top-notch. If you’re looking for a salon where the team truly cares about their craft and clients, this is the place.

I cannot recommend Steph enough. I’ve been seeing her for almost 10 years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. I have a lot of naturally black hair that I color, and it’s incredibly healthy because of her. She consistently does an amazing job with both cut and color, and I leave every appointment feeling confident and beautiful. Root & Refine is a gorgeous new salon — huge congrats to Andy. The space feels cozy, welcoming, and instantly makes you feel at home. The vibes are perfect. You’ll be in good hands once you enter the salon.
