Rod Sickler Salon & Spa

I’ve been contemplating writing this review for a little over a month now. I’ve finally come to the decision to write this because I believe others should be aware. This review is from my personal experience here, not meant to be reflected upon the entire establishment as I’m sure there are friendly and talented people who work here. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting many of them. I came here due to a different salon that I normally go to making my hair darker than I wished it to be. I’ve been to Rod’s before for waxes for years but never for hair. I chose to give it a try, however, and I regret that. Upon arriving, I was seen by someone to wash out the toner (which apparently was an ashy tone, even though I asked for golden/sun-kissed look) that was applied to my hair

I went to Rod Sickler Salon after a different place butchered my hair. I was sure I would have to go really short to fix what had been done. The woman doing my hair was named Layla, and she performed a miracle and salvaged my hair and didn't have to cut it much shorter to fix it. I also scheduled a follow up trim with her for 6 weeks. Won't be going anywhere else!

It was my 2nd time coming here for balayage. This time, Allison styled and cut my hair. She did exactly what I wanted and went above my expectations. I've had many balayage before in different salons. I would definitely come back here and get it done with her. She was friendly yet professional. Reservation is so easy, too. I called the day before, and they had an opening. Parking was easy to find. They have a parking lot. The price is comparable to the quality of service. They offered me something to drink when I got there so I would say the receptionist was friendly. The atmosphere was high-end, professional, and friendly.

I have been to Rod Sickler Salon twice and the first time I went, I was very pleased with my experience and how my hair turned out as I am naturally brunette transitioning to blonde. My stylist was Madison Sowers and the first time I went she had done a wonderful job of lightening my hair without any noticeable damage. Three months later, I scheduled another appointment to have my roots touched up as they had grown out. I tried to allow as much space in between each appointment to minimize the amount of damage on my hair. After my second appointment, I went home to be very disappointed as my mom had taken pictures of the back of my head where my roots/outgrowth was still very brown. I sent the pictures to Madison and she never responded until I followed up about my message several day late

I called the salon on a Saturday morning as a first time customer. Needed to schedule a color appointment in a hurry. My red hair ended up maroon by kitchen beautician at home. JESSICA had a no show at that moment I called. Wendy took the time to check if Jessica was available. Both of them said come on right now. JESSICA fixed my color catastrophe and got my hair back to its orange red. She is efficient and knows color!!! Thank you for amazing service and fun experience
