Rockstar Fades

First of all I reallly liked going here ever since is was 10 years old. But recently I started going in my 20s and I’ve gone 3 times, the first time was amazing and the barber gave me a great low taper fade! But for $30 I expect clean utensils and until I got home I realized I had razor cuts and it became red and irritated. The second and third time I decide to cut them some slack. But recently I saw a recorded video where ICE detained a customer/ employee from the shop and they all stood there quietly… they’re predominantly Hispanic barbers and I couldn’t believe they stood there in silence or even that they allowed ICE officers to enter the shop. I’m really disappointed in this barbershop what happened to solidarity ?

I casually do walk ins to give every barber a chance to show their skill as well to give me opportunity to bond with one who cuts my hair the best. I’m an my afro Latino with no fluent Spanish and the shop gives me a barber who only speaks it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and decide to proceed. His coworker, who asked me what kind of cut I wanted, didn’t seem to give him my specific instructions: a mullet with little to no touch ups in the back. However, the rest of my hair was free for a cut and/or trimmed. Although I care less about fades, it’s quite nice; however, I am disappointed they cut about half of the length in the back as it wasn’t what I asked for.

While waiting for a haircut, i observed the "barbers" there doing a whole lot of talking while most of the customers looked or seemed very annoyed.. When it was about my turn, the "barbers" then took a little break and freshened their own haircuts in their own mirrors. Then when the "barber" was good and ready, i was already walking toward and out the door. Also, who i think is the owner is just too loud and obnoxious..

I’ve been going here for about 19 yrs, and I have received great service from the barbers that work there especially Edgar, and Rolas! They are very professional, and provide you a great experience while they are cutting your hair!
