I’m super picky when it comes to my blonde, so trusting someone with my hair is a big deal. I’ve been going to Ricky for a few years now, and I have always left beyond happy with my results. I’ve had K-tip extensions with him, then removed them and went the natural route, and my natural hair has been absolutely thriving. He truly knows what he’s doing and keeps my blonde healthy every time. One of the best in the city, hands down. Highly recommend!!

I will not go anywhere else! Ricky is so incredibly knowledgeable that I fully trust sitting in his chair and letting him work his magic! I always leave with a beautiful color and styled curls to perfection! I also constantly receive compliments on my color weeks after my service. The absolute best salon and staff!

I debated writing this review because I genuinely had a great experience and was really excited. The salon itself was very nice and Ricky was welcoming and great to talk to. Unfortunately, my haircut ended up being pretty uneven. I asked for long layers, but they came out choppy and are very noticeable, even when I curl my hair to try to blend them. I’ll now need to have it cut shorter elsewhere to even it out, which is disappointing since I’m trying to grow my hair out. Their extension and balayage work does look good in the pictures I’ve seen.

I came in about 5 months ago after admittedly getting a bad hair cut. (Pictured below- the brown). A stylist who’s no longer @ the studio applied beautiful extensions. I found out later that month I am pregnant. Between the morning sickness and hormones etc I was ready to get the extensions out and had about 3.5 - 4 inches of new growth. I booked the appointment for the removal and about a week before the appointment I got a call asking me to see another stylist and there was some confusion as a client because then the original stylist reached out to see if I still wanted to see her (she did lovely I did ) but then canceled again. Absolutely horrible experience. I went to Ricky Salon for a simple trim and left with my hair completely ruined. I clearly asked for just a small trim, but Ricky cut about 8 inches off my hair without checking. The haircut was extremely uneven with long strands sticking out everywhere. It looked rushed, sloppy, and completely unprofessional. I went back within 30 minutes because it was so obviously messed up and asked them to fix it. Instead of correcting the uneven cut, they chopped off another 2.5 inches. Now my hair is far shorter than I ever wanted and still uneven. It will take months, if not years, for my hair to grow back to the length it was. To make matters worse, the staff were rude and dismissive when I tried to explain the problem.
