Took my grandson for a haircut for picture day. Took us in right away. They were pretty busy, yet efficient

I've lived in South Charleston for a what feels like forever and have been coming to this place for quite a while now, and I think it's safe to say that I love this barbershop! Great atmosphere among several things. Plenty of parking available nearby. They give great haircuts! Oh, and that thing they do at the end of your haircut? That alone makes it worth coming in, in my opinion. Happy to support a local business.

I am pleased with my haircuts and beard trims. There is a sign up sheet by the door. Customers sign up with their first name and check off their barber of choice. Customers generally then wait on a bench outside or in their cars until called. Since COVID restrictions began there is no customer seating (other than the barber chairs) inside. Prices are reasonable.

I took my 3 year old son here for the first time today. He was relaxed from the very beginning, jumped right up in the chair and was immediately at ease with his barber (who I believe is the owner) The gentleman was so kind and took his time with him, and gave him the best haircut he’s had. It was his first time sitting in the chair by himself, and not one single tear was shed, which is also a first for during his haircuts. We will absolutely be using this wonderful little shop for all of his future haircuts. If you’re looking for a good barber in South Charleston, this is the place!

I have been asking for the same haircut for 25 years and never got it until I went to Reds and sat in Billy's chair. After describing what I wanted, Billy asked me a follow up question about the style I wanted. No barber had ever done that before. Never. I am not exaggerating. Billy asked me numerous questions about this style I could never get and didn't know the name of. I never had knowledge of barber terms to describe it in anything but the vaguest terms. It literally took him 10 minutes, but Billy pulled it out of me. Finally, he showed me a picture of a men's cut popular in the 1930s. It was exactly what I'd asked of dozens of barbers over decades and Billy was the first to give it to me. He continues his education constantly, because this fascinates him. He is no ordinary barber.
