Raising Queens Braids

I brought my 9 y/o son to Jesenia at Raising Queens for the first time and it was 10/10! She made him laugh and stayed engaged with him during the appointment. His hair looks amazing! We will definitely be back.

📌 Don’t want to read: BOOK WITH KJ!!! Come sit down! It’s story time. I found Raising Queens in a very unusual way. The owner, Jessenia, showed kindness to a stranger who posted a “thank you” online and I was nosy enough to do some digging. Judge, if you must, because my stalk is your gain! 🤷‍♀️ My usual braider canceled on me… again! 🙄 This time, right before my Wedding Shower. I reached out to Raising Queens - expecting the time constraints meant I would have to settle for a quick crochet style or something “easy.” Jessenia took the time to understand my needs AND my preferences before compassionately offering me her professional advice. 🙏 She suggested we use the appointment as a trial for my wedding hairstyle. Genius!!! 🤩 I was paired with a braiding professional she deemed “right”

Great customer service. The service that I receive was passion twist. My stylist Jada was professional and easy to talk to in getting my style together. Will be returning.

Tamia has a wonderful attitude. I worked with her for the first time on Saturday and needed to come back on Sunday. She treated me with respect, patience, very welcoming and did her best to do exactly what I asked her to do all with a great attitude. Attitude & kindness will make any situation turn out well.

I was initially hopeful about this salon, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I specifically asked the stylist not to put braids in my daughter’s hair due to religious reasons, but my request was ignored. I brought this to the salon’s attention, and they did acknowledge the issue and offered to have her hair redone, which I appreciated. However, after I accepted the offer, no one followed up with me—no call, no message, nothing. It’s extremely frustrating to feel dismissed, especially when the issue involved something personal and important to our family. I expected better communication and professionalism. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
