Update: (9/4/2025) Red did a great job again and she was able to get my hair back to normal. Great place still and folks here are social and fun. The parking lot can get full quick as there is a new trendy restaurant and coffee house next door. Bought myself another pair of awesome earrings! Everyone leaves happy at R Salon. 😁 -------------------------------------- (5/21/2025) Valerie did a superb job of bleaching and coloring my short pixie cut. I couldn't stop smiling since she gifted my new hair the perfect color! and she did it all in under two hours! She is an artisan who I hope remains in Tucson for many years. My family absolutely loves my new hair color and style. Also I bought some adorable earrings made by Donnafrog that I adore and they go well with my new look. Thank you so muc

My daughter and I were looking for a new salon since Toni and Guy closed after us going for almost 5 years. We got appointments quickly and effectively. We were both able to see the same stylist; Gina. Our appointment was originally at 12 but shortly after setting appointment I got a call personally from Gina asking to switch our appointment to 10. That was totally fine and I was looking forward to getting my hair cut since I only get it done once a year. Walking in the salon looks nice and well taken care of. My daughter went first and got her hair washed, cut and blown out all within 20/25 minutes. During that short amount of time Gina received a phone call from someone and Gina responded with “I told so and so I was going to be a little late”. Which made it seem like she had plans she h

Donna (owner and stylist) is an amazing human being and very talented and skilled at what she does! Not only is she good with hair and very knowledgeable, but you can tell this business is her baby by the amount of care and attention to detail she has for it and for the quality of work she provides to her clients. I appreciate that she really takes pride in making sure her clients are satisfied and feel good about their hair. The R Salon is a wonderful, clean, positive environment and I will definitely be going back to see Donna!

I came in with my hair looking as shown on this picture. I asked Melissa for partial highlights, which I’ve gotten for years. She began looking through my hair and making faces. She said my hair was dry and all different colors and partial highlights would not work. I then asked her if she had any suggestions and she kept making faces and asked to sign a waiver. I asked her if she felt comfortable working on my hair at all, and she said no. I was probably in there no more than 5 minutes and realized that I was facing incompetence. I said I didn’t feel comfortable with her working on my hair neither.. and frankly I have never had any hairstylist criticize my hair and appear so insecure. and unprofessional...and to sign a waiver tells me that she doesn't trust herself. She had no suggestion
