I live within walking distance of Queens Nails but had never been there until recently. I was in a rush and needed to remove old gel nail polish, so I called ahead to see if they could squeeze me in. They said yes, as they only had one other customer. Upon arrival, I explained that I was in a hurry and only needed the gel polish removed, possibly with a clear coat if there was time. The man began removing the polish and then started filing my nails, despite me saying I didn't have time for that. I repeatedly asked how much it would cost, but received no answer until the fifth time, when he said $15. I was shocked that it cost $15 just to remove gel polish, especially since he only used a buffer tool. He explained it was $10 for gel removal (which took a minute) and $5 for filing, which I
I was very disappointed that they didnt clean my cuticle..also did a sloppy job. Then I went back 2 days ago (six months later). This is what I got. They didnt even scrub and moisturize. $40.00? A six year old could have done better.
Visited for the first time today. The service was good with the exception of 1 nail... that's a little distorted in shape..I didn't get to mention because I was distracted on a conversation about the gratuity...although I'm a fan on providing gratuity for exceptional service... I don't think it should be a forced business practice... I began to leave a tip and then was told my tip was not accepted it had to be a certain amount...(by percentage) by my observation I saw other customers leaving what they wanted with no rejection. I've never been told what I have to do with my own money that I earn... although good business for nail service...it a customers choice/not forced.. ( or it wouldn't be a gratuity/nor mandatory.. very rude... to some cultures it is rude..and some it's not but give a
I went into the salon to get a mani/pedi. They told me to come back in an hour. When I got there they stared doing my nails then abruptly had me go over to start my pedicure. I had someone doing my pedicure as the lady came over to finish painting my nails as I was sitting there getting my feet done. She was literally painting them in the air. She forgot to put a top coat on. When I told the gentleman that was doing my feet he walked me over the dryers and proceeded to put a fast dry on my nails. After being home for a while my nails were so dull and my feet looked the worst I have ever seen. They barely soaked them and didn’t put cream on them. It was a horrible experience and I was leaving for vacation the next day so couldn’t even go back to show them what a horrible job they did. I wil
Never had a bad experience here, wound up going to Queens after a high priced salon in Milford booked me and then didn't have time to do what I wanted. Best to make an appointment rather than walk in because they do get busy.
