I have had pleasant experiences at a few QQ locations in manhattan and was looking forward to the same quality of service at this new location. I went last Monday, a few days after they officially opened. I booked the first appointment available that morning (930am) because I work full time and was trying to squeeze this in before vacation the following morning - and upon arriving at 925am, was promptly seated. The salon is beautiful and very clean. There were no other patrons inside yet, and I believe just the manager and one employee were there upon my arrival. Once seated, it was a 10 minute wait for anyone to attend to me (no problem), at which point the manager began filing down my nails and said I needed to soak. I was really looking forward to going here when they opened and it was hands down the worst nail experience I’ve ever had. I went in for a gel pedi and sns powder manicure. I made an appointment and waited probably 20 mins before being seen even though there were only two other clients there. The service for my gel pedi itself was fine, though slow as it took an hour. Within 24 hours it was bubbling up and chipping off, which i’ve never seen or heard of in my life. My powder manicure was a whole other story. By this point ive been there 1.5 hrs before she started and it became clear the tech had no experience. After 30 mins on my right hand, the owner realized her employee did not use the products in the correct order and frantically stepped in to take it off. Grinding my fingernails down

I rarely leave reviews (good or bad) but found my experience so terrible I hope to share with users here. I visited this new nail salon on January 16th and requested a cat eye gel manicure. Toward the end of the service, I noticed the technician applied the top gel without using the magnet for the cat eye effect. When I asked, I was told they didn’t have the magnet yet and had told me earlier. There was a bit of a language barrier, so I understand the miscommunication. Of course had I known sooner, I would have chosen a different color/style. But this was minor and ended up being the least of my concerns. I do not usually write bad reviews, but I don’t want other ladies to be tricked by pretty interior of the salon, When I came first time, everyone were super kind and friendly, the girl who did the nails did them really good, especially shape but they didn’t last a long time, in less than a week one fell off and other ones were about to, so I went second time to give them second chance which was shown in pictures, manager was super stressed that day she kept telling omg on spanish and then she brought this older women saying she has 20 yrs of experience.6 out of 10 nails were not properly glued or shaped, you can see l below, I quickly realized that this is the best I could get cause lady spoke barely any English, instead of Manager to be there and she how everything is going , when I was l
