I decided to try my very first Japanese manicure, and it was a fantastic experience. Assel is a total gem and a true master of her craft. Unlike standard manicures, this treatment felt incredibly nourishing—she used natural powders to buff my nails to a high, glass-like shine without any polish or chemicals. Assel has such a warm, professional personality and works with incredible precision. Maybe its my bad that I didn’t do enough research on the salon before going in, but this is the worst manicure I have had. My cuticles were BLEEDING in multiple areas, and the technician kept gaslighting me saying my cuticles were too pressed?! When I pulled my hand away on multiple occasions, she said,” let me know if it hurts.” I DID! Multiple times!!! She just went to do what she wanted anyway. Another thing which I found problematic was that I was simply told to put my hand under the UV lamp, and each time I had to ask her “for how long”. Sometimes she answered, sometimes she didn’t. Limited color options. Honestly for 90$+ tip which i regret paying, there should be atleast some design options but its charged extra I think. The underside of my nails looked shoddily done. I am very happy with Asel’s work! She is extremely attentive to detail, very gentle, and incredibly neat. The manicure was done perfectly, and everything was clean and hygienic. You can really tell she cares about her work and her clients. Highly recommend!

Assel is excellent at what she does. She did not over file my nails when removing my previous gel manicure, cleaned up my nails beautifully, and the overall process was hygienic. She applied gel perfectly and even created a custom color for me. Her prices are more than fair and her service is top tier. I’ll be back!

A Hidden Gem I had an amazing experience at Qazaq Nails trying the Japanese manicure for the first time. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my manicurist, Aseel, was calm, attentive, and made me feel completely at ease. At one point, I felt unsure about how my buffed nails looked under the mani, but Aseel immediately picked up on it - without me saying anything about not liking the mani and reassured me that the wax would settle and smooth everything out. She was right—my nails now look beautiful, and I absolutely love them. Also, these are the best square nails I’ve ever had. I used to think square just didn’t suit my hands, but Aseel proved otherwise. She really nailed it! So glad to have found such a skilled and thoughtful manicurist in Redmond. Highly recommend!
