I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to save someone the frustration. I called ahead of time to ask if there was anyone who specialized in curly hair (anyone with curly hair can sympathize with how hard it is to find a beautician who understands how to cut curly hair well). I spoke with Shanon who told me that everyone there did and that she had personally for 30 years. Upon arrival I told her that I wanted a trim and some extra layering to liven up my curls. She didn’t really listen to what I was saying and then cut a lead that felt way shorter than I had asked. A couple of minutes in Shanon made a remark about how cutting curly hair isn’t any different and that “anyone who cuts straight hair should be able to cut curly hair”. Shannon was Amazing! I had a wedding to go to and needed my hair cut and highlighted. My hair stylist had moved over a year ago and I've been nervous to go to anyone else! She got me in right away. She did amazing with the color. I definitely recommend Shannon at purely hair spa!

The owner Shannon cut my hair, she shared that she had managed a chain salon, can’t remember which, but maybe you should know that before she cuts your hair—that is the caliber work she is capable of. My thin fine hair I asked to be cut into a lob, is now a short chopped mess. One side is a Bob, the other is beyond description. Maybe she is fantastic for some, but she butchered my hair. Glad it is a renewable resource. Wish I had read the other reviews first. She says it wasn’t as uneven as the picture shows, but it was taken 20 minutes after the cut.

These ladies are fantastic. Both that I encountered were friendly and comfortable to be around. Shannon did my hair. She did a phenomenal job. I have had an issue with fragile and thinning hair ever since I had covid. Shannon took extra care to preserve my new growth when dying my hair, which is greatly appreciated. I had a few areas that I wanted adjusted after the initial dye. Shannon quickly scheduled me back in and fixed/adjusted two small things I wasn't quite satisfied with free of charge. These ladies stand by their work and take the time to make sure the client receives what they asked for.

I really enjoyed my experience here! Shannon is so experienced and she gave me so many great tips on how to care for my hair since I don't usually do anything to it 🙃 😅 I was very pleased with how natural and brightening the highlights she gave me turned out and she somehow made my grown out bangs seamlessly blend into the rest of my hair. Overall, very pleased 😁
