Pure Mettle

I’ve been getting my hair done by Kayla Irvin for quite some time, and I think she is just the BEST. She takes her time, explains all of the process, and always makes me feel comfortable. I naturally have very dark thick hair that does not process quickly, and I like to stay fairly bright blonde, which has lead to damage in the past. Since Kayla has been taking care of me, my hair has stayed healthy and growing!! The salon is very cute and clean, and the other stylists and receptionist were so sweet and great to talk to. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

miranda is absolutely the best!! i trust no one else but her with my hair. she knows exactly what she’s doing and knows what’s best for my hair type. she makes sure you both visualize what you’re wanting and does better than the pictures i show her! please run to her!!

Jaime did a wonderful job cutting the hair of my special needs sister. Her cheerful conversation and positive affirmations made her feel like a million bucks. The studio is beautiful and airy with a stunning view over Dawsonville. I will definitely be scheduling my sister's haircuts at Pure Mettle from now on. 🤩🙌

Had the absolute pleasure of working with Baylee. I came in with level 1 professionally died black hair and she patiently (and amazingly!!!) took me to a level 5 copper in one sitting. She paid such attention to detail and wanted to make it look as perfect as she could. I have had such bad experiences at other salons but I had no doubts with Baylee. Will be a forever client! I absolutely love my new hair and am grateful she took on this challenge.

I recently moved to the area from out of state; looking for a new stylist can be stressful. Today was my first appointment with Pure Mettle, booked by Emily, who was incredibly helpful. Out of the many years and different salons I have been cut and colored in, this is probably my favorite place. The ladies (Shae, Jaime, and Kayla) who I met today are LOVELY. Being in the salon felt like I was hanging out with my own girlfriends. It was so welcoming; I felt extremely comfortable there. I had the pleasure of working with Shae, who listened to my ideas and shared with me some of her own. She is very knowledgeable about her craft and explained to me in steps what her plan was.
