Pueblo Dominican Hair Salon

Came in midday on a Tuesday. It wasn’t crowded at all was serviced immediately. I do believe they were a bit intimidated by my raw natural hair in the beginning 🤣 ( I went in with my fro so they knew what they were in for lol). The shampooing was phenomenal!! She scratched every inch of my scalp and washed it very thoroughly. The deep conditioning treatment was awesome! They were VERY generous with the product!!! The woman who styled my hair was very friendly and did amazing curls and a much needed cut! My hair was full of body and bounce!! I felt beautiful leaving their salon !!! Will be returning in the near future!!! 🩷

I was really disappointed with my visit. I called ahead to ask about a specific service and was told they offered it, but when I arrived, they said they don’t actually do that service. On top of that, no one mentioned on the phone that they only accept cash, so I had to scramble to get money after I was already there. I also asked for just a trim, but it feels like much more was cut off than I wanted. The staff were polite, but the communication and professionalism were not what I expected.

My 8 year old enjoyed her service. She got her hair deep conditioned, washed, blown out and wrapped. She said the beautician was gentle and did not burn her at all, the detangle process didn’t hurt and she’d go back. As her mother I liked the service as well. After the wash she still had her curl pattern and it didn’t seem relaxed like people used to accuse Dominican salons of doing. They just blow dry very well. Price was ok compared to the 9 years of struggle I’ve put in washing, detangling and blow drying her hair. I’ll continue to trim, style and manage her hair myself though. I would have given them 5stars had they had used a new plastic cap on my daughter’s head. I didn’t feel like going back and forth with them or being banned mid wash (because that’s what these salons seem to do

To start, this was the ONLY place I ever went to do my blowouts. I haven’t been in a while, but yesterday I was able to just barely make it there. First, I called to see what time they take their last person. The person on the other end (who I now know is the owner) said 5:45. I said okay, I’ll be there at 5:40pm. She then tried to tell me that she actually closes at 5:45. So I reiterated that she just said 5:45 as the last person, then she said maybe she can take me. I still drove 50 minutes since I moved away from the location. Upon arrival, I get sat down to get my hair washed, the washer washed my hair and had to rewash it because it was “dirty”. I was sat under the dryers with no rollers to have my hair dry a little before getting it blow dried (by the owner since the other stylists h

I went here a few weeks ago. I liked how my hair turned out. The service could have been better. I don't like the amount of heat that was put on my hair. Overall okay experience but use less heat. Just because a person has thick or 4c type doesn't mean use a lot of heat.
