Pro Files Hair Nail & Skin

I've been going here for a couple of years, but I have had manicures and pedicures on and off from other salons for the last 20 years. Those that are new to the salon, know ahead of time that their methods are different from other salons. They don't have the giant massage chairs or vibrating foot spas like some nail salons. Also, they don't soak hands or do major cuticle trimming, but they said it's to prevent infections and for acrylics to last longer. I never preferred cuticle trimming because multiple nail techs over the years said to me that once you trim them, they grow faster and you have to keep trimming them forever. I really wanted to love my experience here. My mom is a nail tech and her salon buys all their products from ProFiles, so I know it’s good quality and lasts long. However, my experience was definitely not a good one and I, unfortunately, feel like I’ve wasted my money. I got a 10:00 am appointment for a regular fill while on a short vacation and wasn’t even seen until 10:30. I sat down and talked to the tech a little bit about what I usually get done, what I wanted today, etc. My cuticles and skin around my nails was not taken care of at all, the acrylic itself is super thick and they didn’t use regular polish, but gel, which I did not request, making the nails even thicker than they already were. I've been going to ProFiles since January of this year. I've worked with Sam, Abby, and Penelope. They are all really great and fun to work with! Highly reccomend! These are just some of the nails I've gotten done here! 2023 update: I mostly see Penelope! She's great and I highly recommend. All the ladies are super professional and fun to work with. They also have plenty of extra seating if you need to bring someone with you- like a kiddo, a hubbie, a friend, etc. Even when I go in without a clue what I want, I always leave totally thrilled with what I get. I am engaged as of last year and I have every intention of getting my wedding nails here. Love this place!

Singing Megan did an absolutely fantastic job. I will go nowhere else from now on. She took my Shrek looking nails and turned them beautiful.

I’m disappointed to share that our experience at your salon was extremely upsetting. The front desk staff member was exceptionally rude, as was another employee, a red-haired girl wearing glasses. I brought my elderly grandmother in to have a damaged nail removed, and we were told they would not soak off the nail because it was “unprofessional,” and that drilling was the only option. My grandmother was already in pain and was afraid that drilling would worsen her discomfort. At that point, we were not concerned about the potential for acetone to cause burning or skin irritation, we simply wanted the least painful solution for her.
