I was actually going to head to the store today, but due to seeing how many fellow black women have also experienced over the past 5+ years the exact same experience (I genuinely thought it was just me) over and over and over again I would like to add my two cents to my own experience with the store. I have visited twice before and have also, very unfortunately, experienced both of the owners watching me in the store. I was there for 30mins. browsing for the first time. It makes absolutely no sense in any capacity to try to make any profit off of a community you don't trust. Please switch your industry. If you do not trust us. You cannot make any money from us. It makes no sense. Especially because very easily you can make a $50-$100.00 profit per customer. Why would any of us steal any pr

Racists woman who I assume owns the store…. Assaulted me!!!! Hitting my hand, because I changed my mind about an item and was going to return it to its original position. Since that was where the other item I wanted to purchase was. This was extremely embarrassing and violating. I was on a time crunch so I was forced to finish the transaction after this , she took an aggressive tone the entire transaction…. It was demeaning ! I won’t be returning and I suggest no one of color to come unless you want to be harassed, followed and possibly physically assaulted trying to simply get supplies and patronize the business. I wouldn’t be surprised if they responded gas lighting or blaming me for being assaulted… it was the most disgraceful behavior. If I could give negative stars I would !

The items are not the problem. They honestly supply a wider variety than the stores near me. However, the employees are very unprofessional and disrespectful. I came into this beauty supply, minding my own business, looking for my items, only to find an employee following my every move. I don’t want to be prejudice, but I feel as though it has something to do with the fact that I am a person of color. When I spotted her following me, I respectfully told her that I would call out to her if I needed her help. Even after this, she continued to follow me. This is honestly the last straw for me. I came here before, won over by their options, and purchased a large amount. The store is nice and clean and I was greeted when I came in and the stuff was decently priced however, I do not like being watched as I turn around. I recognize that the man maybe her husband is looking directly at what I’m picking up. So 1 star for that 😕

Horrible customer service. My friend and I entered the store and the owner already thought we came to steal! The lady yelled at us and we put down the items we were going to purchase and left the store. I made a comment that black people need to stop shopping at Asian Beauty Supply stores because we are treated so poorly. The owner agreed. He you said sure do. I said wow the majority of the store is catered to black people. Stop spending your dollars at these places. The black dollar is powerful if we hold it we can shut alot of these business down!!!!!
