Since I found JR on Maps, it's only fair to leave a review. His office is sort of in an unexpected place, but he's very professional. The place was clean and comfortable. I went for a deep tissue massage focused on certain spots, and JR delivered. Very strong pressure (but responsive to my feedback) and a good description of what he was doing at each step. Great bodywork session. Price is very reasonable. I'll definitely return.

JR is a miracle worker!! I kept saying how lucky I was to get an opening with him. I woke up with pain, it got worse, I went to JR, and now there are only vestiges. He read my intake carefully and asked some questions, then went right to work on all the sources of my pain. His focus is laser sharp and he listens to what you say and responds accordingly. He listens deeply to your needs before, during, and after the bodywork session and adjusts accordingly for current, and future appointments! He's humble about what he knows and is always open to learning - if you ask him something he doesn't know he'll do the research and then come back to you next time on different ways to work with your body. JR is the rare massage therapist who 1) really knows insertion points of muscles so that he can relieve the pain at the location of the pain as well as the areas that might be triggering the pain or discomfort, and 2) continues to hone his craft with continuing education. I am confident that I'm getting a massage therapist who is well-trained and dedicated to making his clients feel more relaxed and lighter after each session. He really tailors his sessions to your needs and checks in frequently to make adjustments. As time has gone on, we haven't needed such frequent checks.
