Just now got my hair cut by Martha, the owner. Fast, skilled, professional, friendly. I will be getting my hair cut here from now on. Recommended! 👍🙂

A friend and I were looking to get haircuts in Capitola. Big mistake. Had to completely buzz all my hair off. I was embarrassed to ask the hairstylist to fix the huge line she left on the side of my head. Her remarks were you said it looked good in the mirror, then apologizing for her ignorance. The other white hairstylist said she don't do my style of hair as i walked in. Very rude! So i knew right away this was going south fast. I sat there and she didn't even ask how I would like my haircut done. I had 6 inches of lenght on top and she just butchered both of our hair cuts. Recommended for seniors only!! I wanted to ask for a refund.Think twice before these ladies cut your hair. Will never go back after that horrifying experience. It was big Martha who did this to me.

I really wanted to like this place, being so close to home. The two brunette ladies were so nice to my dog, and I. They scheduled me right away for a hair thin/ trim, and even gave my dog treats. I arrived the next day for my appointment and the blonde lady was assigned to me. She was nice at first but quickly turned rude when I asked questions to understand her method, as it was much different than what I'd experienced in the industry as a hair model down in LA county. I had messed up and put a ton of product in my hair that morning and was leary to have it cut with so much stuff bogging it down. She didn't seem to care and wanted to snip away. She was getting heated so to de-escalate, I quickly said "I'm just trying to ask questions to understand" and she retorted back sharply "I don't n

She stood me up for a 5pm appointment and asked me to come back @ 6 30. She charged $30 for a haircut listed for $25 on her website. Doesn't take credit cards, but couldn't make change for $40 cash and had the audacity to ask if I wanted to leave the change for a tip. This old gas bag needs to retire.

I love Martha Sosa! She is a great lady and a great barber! She finishes the hair cut with the traditional shoulder massager, just like in the good old days.
