I want to start by saying the staff handled my concerns professionally once I called, and I did receive a refund for the overcharge, which I appreciated. However, my experience had a few hiccups. My nail technician was a little late, and as a regular spa girlie, I’m used to being offered a relaxing alternative when the first appointment runs behind—such as being walked around the spa, enjoying tea, or sitting in a calming space. First of all — let’s start with the most important part — this facility is BLACK WOMEN OWNED 👏🏽🖤 and you can absolutely feel the love, excellence, and intention the moment you walk in. You can get your hair done right here by some of the most talented, professional, and welcoming stylists. My stylist is Mrs. Vivienne of Amanda’s Touch Beauty Salon, and when I tell you she does an AMAZING job on my hair… I mean every single time. I recently visited Platinum Spa and, overall, I left feeling a bit disappointed and it's overpriced. The property itself is large and there’s a lot on the grounds, which initially gives the impression of a luxury retreat. However, the buildings are not connected, so you have to walk outside to get to certain areas for different services. That really interrupted the relaxing flow I was expecting. When you’re paying premium prices, you want everything to feel seamless and cohesive, and unfortunately it didn’t quite deliver that elevated experience. Foot detox not worth it. I received a foot detox, a massage, a facial, and a meal as part of my package. Out of all the services, the facial was by far the best. Our book club had an amazing time. It was a party of six and we began our journey around noon. When we arrived we were checked in by Alexa and Stephanie I can't remember the other young lady's name. They brought to the changing area. Next we received the tour and we were deciding what to do first. We started out in the patio area where we lounged and just enjoyed the atmosphere. Platinum Wellness Spa is truly a gem, and our overall experience was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt intentional, relaxing, and welcoming. Even with a few small hiccups that seemed tied to staff training opportunities, the overall quality of the services was unmatched. The sauna was great once it warmed up—just a note that preheating the room ahead of time would make the experience even better, as the benches were cold at first. The light massage I received was exactly what my body needed. Living with widespread chronic spine pain, I rarely find relief, but this massage was refreshing and restorative.
