Both staff were lovely, but you should definitely ask the prices beforehand. It was very overpriced for the quality of service. A hair trim with blow dry (with no product) cost $80 and left my hair more frizzy than when I came in. My gel nails were also still sticky two hours after she finished. The salon itself is a nice environment, and again they staff were great. It was just not worth it to us.

PHD is a well maintained, modern, clean salon. Their "greeter" Louie is beyond adorable, sweet and friendly as can be. Kathy is very helpful and knowledgeable, she took the time to listen to my concerns and offered great advice. I needed to cover my gray hair but most importantly needed a fresh cut to rejuvenate my look. She listened to my ideas and preferences and I felt very much included in the experience.

Cathy is very good at what she does. She cuts and highlights my hair but I also love the way she blows it dry (I have straight blond hair). The salon is very comfortable and the dog is so cute but beware. He will steal things out of your purse if you leave it on the floor where he can get to it!

I was disappointed to visit PhD Salon & Spa. The owner was nearly 10 minutes late to my appointment. I told her what cut I wanted and she argued with me the whole time. In the end, I didn't get the haircut I wanted--for $90.
