Penny's Cuts

Called there 3 weeks ago on a Saturday morning at 830am. I needed a mens bankers cut haircut for work. I asked if the lady with the white hair was working there ( forgot her name) and for a call back as soon as someone opened the shop. No one called me. I decided to go there at 1030am. Only one person there. Ask the lady if the white haired lady would be in, she said no. That they were short staffed. Asked if he could give me a quick haircut just short up the sides. She said she was all booked up. Oddly no one in the shop but her and I. I would given her a great tip of she could accommodate me under my circumstances. But she had no time for me. Wanted to book me out 4 days. I won't be returning. I wouldn't recommend. Better off going across the street.

Asked for someone who did foil highlights vs pull thru cap. Was told the owner Dee did and I made an appointment with her for highlights and cut. Upon arriving the following week for the appointment (which she was late for) she informed me she didn't have time for the highlights but started the cut. She seemed very scattered and at one point ended the haircut with cutting a piece of my hair that she felt wasn't cooperating!!. Needless to say. l called back a few days later and left a message that I wasn't happy with my cut. They said they would pass the message along to Dee. To my SURPRISE she did return the call, but said she would not be able to do anything for me and that there were other salons to go to! Now I'm in my 60's and this isn't the first time I have been to the hairdresser!

I am very pleased with this haircut from Michelle at Penny's cuts. Curly hair is not that simple and most hairdressers cut it too short, not understanding the curl. I was taking a risk just walking in and asking for help with an old badly layered cut. I was happily surprised to get just what I needed from Michelle. Plus she took me as a walk-in. It was just when they opened at 8:30. I will definitely go back. The price was only $10! I gave her $15. I would have given her $20 if I had it on me.

If you want a choppy hair cut then pennies cuts is the place to go. I just got my haircut and it looks absolutely terrible. the stylists have no idea how to cut hair so I don’t know how they all landed the jobs in the first place. the stylist also smells like cigarettes and had to get guidance on my moms simple haircut. if you need guidance to do a simple trim then you definitely shouldn’t be working as a professional.

Have been going here for years & have always left happy! Very reasonable rates, friendly atmosphere & great hairstylists. Looking forward to my appt tomorrow 😁
