Paulina Street Parking Structure

Hi ! It's an old parking lot, but it's next to the dental college. One. One hour parking is $5, two hours is $7, this is a good price for Chicago. The parking lot is equipped with an elevator. The parking lot is currently being repaired and be careful in the central section. There are places on the roof for romantics.

Paid the fee at the kiosk near the elevator before getting my vehicle. Pulled straight out only to be in a line of cars for about 10mins. Got to the attendant and gave her the card, when she asked me to pay again. Told her I paid before getting my vehicle and showed the receipt, only for her to say that I had a 15min grace period to retrieve my vehicle. Told her that it’s been about 10 and I wasn’t paying twice. She threatened to “call parking authority”, which was fine with me because I’m not moving. That means that I’m backing up the line which is now causing the other cars to miss their 15min “grace period”. Long story short, she opened the gate because wasn’t no way I was giving her lunch money for tomorrow. You won’t be buying a Biggie Bag off my dime🤷🏻‍♀️

Great parking structure, always parking available even during busy hours, UIC validates parking for patients, only thing I do not like is the elevator. My kid just got nervous because the doors on our level were partially open while we were waiting for the elevator and did not fully close when we got on.

They should make people who did not pay at the provided spots pay double or triple at the exit that way it should resolve the traffic problem and the facility can make extra money.

The parking structure is the best valued one! BUT! Remember where you park, especially which entrance you went in to park your car! This structure is multi layers… it also has multi entrances and exits. If you happen to go into the wrong entrance, you won’t be able to find your car. I thought my car was lost and was searching for it for 10 mins… eventually I had to get out and went back in from the other entrance…
