I came in last Friday for an acrylic refill, and unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. The shape of my nails was inconsistent — every single nail looked different. I politely mentioned this multiple times during the appointment, but my concerns were ignored. Despite clearly expressing that I was unhappy with the shape, no effort was made to correct it properly. I ended up paying for a service that was far below acceptable standards. To make matters worse, one of my nails broke shortly after, and when I returned, there was no one available to fix it. I waited for over an hour without any resolution. This experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. As a paying customer, I expect quality service, attention to detail, and basic customer care — none of which I received. I
I called to make an appt for 4:45 for a fill yesterday. Got there Karen took me. Once she started seeing people coming in she started rushing pulling my hands. Didn’t shape or smoothen my nails, or even paint it right. Charged me $60. I went back to my bank statements to see how much I’m usually charged. I normally get charged $45 to $50. At this point I need the owner do over and reshape my nails. DO MOT GO TO KAREN!! She even was talking about me to the person next to her thinking I didn’t know what she was saying.
Update ….I HAVE A FUNGUS!! That thumb that was cut in the above pic. Went to the ER to have nail removed after finger down to wrist swelled and was is agonizing pain. After nail was removed… nail bed was green. Hospital advised it comes from cuts on cuticles from dirty supplies. Prescribed pain pills, antibiotics and antifungal ointment Smh. It’s a no. $130 price tag. My nail bed Or cuticles weren’t prepped, so there was a gap as if I needed to fill in. Left a picture of what I asked for versus what I got, but I did not want the rhinestones to be fair. From one of the pictures I noticed my cuticle was bleeding right after the service in the car. 2 nails cracked, another nail started lifting (posted a picture of that repair at another salon.) 24 hours later whole nail popped off. It’s been
I’ve been going to Paul Nails on and off for a couple years. On and off because the technicians are hit or miss, the wait times can be long and for some reason ALL the techs leave a weird gap between the acrylic and cuticles, which makes the nails look like they’ve been growing out for a week. I went for a fill in and decided to try chrome nails for the first time. They color looked so pretty on the sample nail. I believe the technician’s name is Ann, but she sits at the first station. I gave 2 stars because she was very nice and I could tell she was tired, which most humans are after a long day. I don’t enjoy her work however. She shreds my cuticles every time I have her and always digs her nails into my fingers when filing. Welp, my chrome nails came out looking like I chewed on them. I’
I think it really depends on the nail tech you see here. The first time I got my nails done here was for a wedding and they were on point. Unfortunately I couldn't recall the young girl's name and when I went in for a second time she isn't there so I had my nails done by someone else. My nails came out awful which I didn't realize until after I had better lighting. Granted he did attempt to do my nails how I asked, but they came out terrible. I opted to get them fixed elsewhere.
