I have been seeing Peggy here for over 10 years. I have pin-straight blonde hair that shows every flaw in a bad haircut and is hard to shape and give volume to, and it took me a long to find "my" stylist when my last favorite closed shop to move away. When hubby and I moved to Queens from Nyack in 2018, I tried 2 places in NYC before the disappointment led me to decide to just keep making the trek to Piermont and Peggy. We live in Bronxville now, I imagine there are great salons nearby, but I don't care. I have no need to look around, no desire to be overcharged for a bad style from a stranger just for the sake of looking for something I already know where to find, and as such am a loyal customer. Excellent ambiance, decor, and staff. I went for the first time in an emergency and my regular salon was not able to fit me in. After a number of serious hair misses in Rockland, I was referred to Elida by a neighbor. Though I was hesitant to go through the strides of trying someone new again... I am glad I did. You leave the salon relaxed because it's a mellow environment especially of Hannah does your hair. You can have a cup of coffee or a doughnut on the house but you get quality service and a stylist of the highest caliber.
