James has been coloring my hair for over 15 years. I love the color and continue to get compliments. Initially I went to him just for color, then got around to asking if he had any thoughts on a hairstyle that might look good on me, he said "yes...", gave me a great haircut and has been cutting it ever since and making it look amazing. His space has a great vibe, relaxing and comfortable.

James has cut and colored my hair for over ten years! He is the only person I trust with my hair-the color is always consistent, he is very efficient with his time, and I always walk out feeling like a movie star. I live in New York City and will only get my hair done when I come back home to visit! Highly recommend. Especially for blonde folks!

I first met James at Options Salon over 15 years ago. I had been looking for a new stylist and had admired the hair of a co-worker who had been his client for many years. At the time I started with James I did not need color but as my needs changed I benefitted from James' exceptional talent with color as well. People have admired my hair for years and I have been stopped by strangers on the street inquiring about my stylist. Not only is James a treasure for hair, but he is one of the nicest people I know.

I’m sitting in James’ salon chair now and have been his client for 20+ years. His styling and coloring expertise are the best on the peninsula! Plus, James is personable, his shop is centrally located (with parking!), and you can typically get an appointment within a few days. Highly recommend!!!!!

James, the owner of Options, is a perfectionist with years of experience. He is easy going and listens to my objectives so that he can do a great job for me. Several of my colleagues are long term clients as well. Color is one of his specialties. The atmosphere is simple and relaxed. His weekday hours are very flexible as well.
