Onyx Nails of Middletown

I’ve been to Onyx a few times and this most recent trip was by far the best because of Nancy. I highly recommend her! She’s so detail oriented and asks how you like the shape and color along the way. She’s very personable as well. I got hard gel with cat eye. If I went to Nancy earlier then I would give it 5 stars. I’ve been here 3 times before with different nail techs and those visits were just all right.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Onyx Nails for over 5 years and can’t recommend them enough! I see Irma, who is always personable, attentive, and consistently provides the best manicures and pedicures I’ve ever had. She truly takes her time and makes sure everything is perfect. The entire team at Onyx Nails is friendly, welcoming, and very experienced. The salon is always a great atmosphere, and I always leave feeling relaxed and looking great. Highly recommend!

So 11 months ago I did not have a good experience but today? Was worse. I figured I’d give this place another shot and I wish I hadn’t. This was the worst pedicure ever. I got the organic pedicure for my birthday. First of all this guy didn’t even know what to grab he was asking me like I knew. Second he RIPPED my cuticle apart on my big toe and my toe has been throbbing for the past hour. My pedicure was supposed to come with volcanic crystals, hot stones, sugar scrub, paraffin wax. Got LITERALLY none of that. He also never scrubbed the heel of my foot. So I’m super upset I spent $65 on nothing and now my cuticle on my toe is all cut up. I’m done coming here.

Best manicure I’ve had in along time. Sheccid did my regular mani. So what would one expect from a good mani. A gentle file down and cuticle clean up, a nice massage and an opportunity to wash your hands before polish is applied. She covered it all and was polite and respectful the entire time. No chit chat while you are being cared for so the salon is peaceful and the girl at the front desk was also very helpful and kind.

Onyx is the best of the best. Emmy is the best nail tech I’ve ever worked with. She is kind, personable, and the best at what she does. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a new salon.
