Oconee School of Therapeutic Massage

I attended a CEU class over the weekend at this school. The facility was clean, professional and comfortable. (02-22-26) - Deep Tissue Techniques for Persons Who Have Experienced Trauma and Abuse / Jamie the instructor is an amazing therapist, instructor and human. It was so informative and relevant with these challenging times in our industry and our local communities. I highly recommend this facility and instructor.

Best Massage Therapy Education in the state of GA!!! I toured other schools and intuitively felt this would be the best experience. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and prepared me well for my new career. I am confident with my new skills and sincerely enjoyed my time here. Thankful for this new supportive community to be apart of!

I appreciated Adrienne and Mitzi's teaching last fall, but now that I'm out in the field I can tell ya, I received a quality education. I have felt prepared working for myself, a spa, and a doctor's office thanks to this wonderful program. And the support I received from these teachers, from community leaders / guest lecturers, from my cohort, and from my school-appointed mentor, made my studies not only doable but enjoyable. This school will prepare you to pass the national exam required for licensure, yes, but don't waste time worrying about the exam. Awesome experience, highly recommend!! I recently attended and graduated from the Oconee School of Therapeutic Massage. Its located in Athens (Watkinsville), Georgia. The class size was small, under 10 people. The teachers are Adrienne Permar and Mitzi Everett. They both brought their unique gifts, indispensable wisdom, grace, and presence to each day, and each interaction. The 15 week course was arduous and deeply healing. On a personal level it has been instrumental in helping me along my path of interpersonal healing and individuation. It has helped me ground down my spirituality and has catalyzed my healing journey towards more full embodiment. I finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist attending this school. I appreciate the time and energy the instructors put into the curriculum and the many creative ways it’s was presented to me. I hadn’t been in school for over 20 years and was intimidated by the thought of learning so many new things. I was definitely challenged but also encouraged and supported throughout the entire process. I am forever thankful and couldn’t imagine going back to my old life.
