Just got back from my first massage at Ocean Spa. My other massage appt cancelled last minute so I thought, "Why not?" and gave Ocean Spa a shot. I've been walking by this place for years. Mike was my massage therapist and he was great. Listen, this is not a 5-star hotel experience massage place. This will not be the best massage you have ever had and it definitely won't be the worst. It will be 'pretty good.' And the price you pay for that massage will be about a third of what you'd normally pay. So, the combination of price and general goodness make this a place I will be going back to regularly for years to come. Highly recommended.

Mike gave me the best deep tissue massage ever! The quality of this service equals a 5 star spa!

Hands down the most reliable massage parlor in the Gowanus/Park Slope area. I’ve been here 30+ times over the past few years and yes, I have my go-to masseurs, but I’ve never been disappointed by a massage here from anyone on their staff. I can’t recommend them enough!

I booked an hour long head massage with a female masseuse. The massage overall was decent but service was not very good. My masseuse was male and there was no acknowledgement of this…whats the point of asking me which gender masseuse I prefer when I book? I then told my masseuse no oil and he still put oil on my back. My masseuse is also yelling in another language to another worker, who is outside, disturbing the peace as I was relaxing. Finally, even after these issues, I still decide to tip 20% and the lady at checkout reprimands me, saying I should be tipping more as my friend tipped more (she got a different service which was more expensive). This was very rude and not professional…I felt very uncomfortable even though I was tipping 20%! As I was leaving, I checked the receipt and sa
