NYC Butterfly Braids goddess faux locs passion twist feed in knotless box braids

Today I did a thing... My first BRAIDS! After a depressing pandemic hair I decided to do something different. I came to butterfly braids and did goddess locs. It was the second time I had ever done a braided hairstyle with added hair and it was wonderful! The braids were not too tight and the locs came out so beautiful. Also Alaya is such a cool person! She is funny and but also so real to talk to. Furthermore in the end, she gives you a brief lesson on how to take care of your new hair. Truly a 5/5 experience! I can't wait to go back again!

I’ve been coming to butterfly braids for what will be two whole years this March 2020. Alaya has executed every style I ever sent to her and she tailors it to match my face and also the state of which my hair is currently in whenever I go see her. She is the only person who I allow to do my hair that I trust to provide quality and also value. Her prices are more than reasonable and she’s also a great listener and takes what she does very seriously. My hair has gotten longer and fuller with the protective styles she’s done for my hair. I thank god I found her on google when I got my first faux locks. Love her and her work!

Alaya is the best. My hair is thick and at times unmanageable, but she took her time with it. She did not treat my natural hair like it was a nuisance instead she treated my hair like it was her own, with extreme care. She oiled the ends of my hair before installing anything and her additional detangling was done gently. Around my edges (actually around my entire head) she was very light handed and I have zero worries about having my hairline pushed back. She was quick installing them (I was only there a little over 4 hours) but it never felt like she was rushing me out of there. She was constantly checking in to make sure I was okay. Alaya is the bomb! I've been to PLENTY of different hairdressers and hair stylists and I've always had an OK or bad experience. She is the only one that has exceeded my expectations and I plan on continuing to go to her. My hair has grown so much since my first appointment with her. She uses her amazing oils, and makes sure tender headed people like me don't feel ANY sort of pain. I always feel comfortable in her presence and she goes above and beyond what most clients would expect from anyone doing their hair. I can go on a rant about her expertise!
