NY Hair & Colour Salon

Was looking for a new hair place to go to and I feel like I hit the jackpot! I haven't had my hair cut since last year so I got gorgeous layers done by Kenny. We had nice conversation throughout in a very relaxed setting. Kenny is very experienced as well and taught me a few things about hair. I will definitely be going again!

Kenny and his lovely assistant are phenomenal colorists. I have my hair bleach and toned regularly and the truth is it's not an easy process. A great colorist will get the color perfect, not cause you any pain and not fry your hair and Kenny and his assistant achieved this. The conversations we would have would during my colors were equal parts hilarity, philosophy and pontification and although I've moved away I look back on these colors there as some of my fondest Poughkeepsie memories tbh.

I had a fantastic experience with Kenny! I got exactly the pixie cut I was looking for, and I went platinum blonde. It was a more complex dye job and he made me feel totally comfortable and in the know on what was happening to my hair. He worked on me with his assistant and the whole process was very efficient. I am so happy with the results!

I’m 52 and I wanted to get the gray out of my hair and was very apprehensive… Having seen some “really bad dye jobs” I didn’t wanna come out of it looking like Wayne Newton. I did my research, checked the reviews and found New York hair and color salon. Ken and his assistant Brittany are amazing! Not only is there work exceptional they’re terrific people and it’s like hanging out with a couple of friends. As far as the hair color goes… I expressed my concern about not wanting my hair to look unnatural for my age. They formulated a color scheme that looks completely appropriate. When you have your own mother tell you how natural it looks I don’t think you can get a much better compliment than that. I absolutely love getting my hair cut and colored here, I am never disappointed! Kenny takes the time to listen to my ideas and will offer input and suggestions that always turn out beautifully. He is an artist and his passion and experience are reflected in the results. Brittany is a huge asset to the team, always pleasant and patient when it comes to scheduling me with my busy schedule and is meticulous with her color mixing and application. I always leave feeling like a new person and can't imagine going anywhere else. I highly recommend you give them a try!
