Nova Nail Lounge

I’ve tried so many nail salons around Seattle and Lynnwood, but nothing compares to Nova. This place completely changed what a manicure means to me. Most places just soak your fingers in a bowl and paint your nails, but Nova goes all in. They do deep cleaning, thorough scrubbing, hand masks, and even include a relaxing back massage. My hands cared for after a manicure. You can tell they truly focus on the full experience, not just the polish. The level of detail and care they put into every step is incredible, and the price is honestly so good for the service you get. It feels more like a spa treatment than a regular manicure. I had Lind do the service for me. She is good at this.

Ann is my nail tech and I always love her expertise and being wonderful design. She always comes up with every session. I had the color change nail polish with a different kind of gel that is doing much better for my nails than acrylic. I recognize that some people prefer thinner nails. I am a busy mom so thinner nails tend to break on me. Everyone has their preference. I’ve been coming to Nova Nails for a couple of years, I would say the majority of the time I’ve not had any issues.

My second time coming to nova and I am very disappointed. I came for a full set of acrylics with my friend and noticed after the powder was applied that the tips were very lifted and not flat against the nails at all. I mentioned this to the nail tech who was obviously annoyed that I pointed it out. He was dismissive and defensive, saying why didn’t I say anything sooner. I told him I only just noticed. He did offer to redo them after rolling his eyes but I had dinner plans with my friend and it would have made us late so I just left after he was done. My friend also got a full set of gelX and her tech was also annoyed when she had asked him to cut her extension shorter. The first time I came I had no problems with the female tech I got. I visited this salon for a pedicure. At first, the impression was quite pleasant: a new place, a reception desk, a friendly offer of drinks, and a list of procedures. However, they do not inform clients in advance about the additional cost of certain services — that is a separate issue. The main concern for me was the level of hygiene and cleanliness: • The technician was working without gloves. • There was no additional lighting during the procedure, which clearly affected the quality of the nail polish application. • Tools (scissors, clippers) were placed back on the same tray together with a used foot file. • I also noticed that another technician dropped clippers on the floor, picked them up, and continued using them without proper sterilization. I loooooove how our nails turned out! I will definitely be coming back here again. All of the nail artists were so meticulous and considerate. The seating layout was such that it felt like we could hang out and converse while we were getting our nails done. My pics don't do the nails justice. Purple nails and silver nails are nail extensions and shaping with dipping powder. The pink and white ones are acrylics with nail art. There is even shading and nuance to the pinstripes! And the strawberries have such crisp tiny details! Ah-mazing! They look exactly like what she requested. She nearly teared up she was so happy with her nails.
