I decided to try a silk press. Now normally when I've received silk presses from other places they wash and deep condition my hair or use a smoothing system like Mizani. But unfortunately after my hair was washed, it was blowdried which made it a lot more difficult to work with, which resulted in way too much heat being used. A blow dryer, flat iron and Marcel curling irons were all used on my hair, which is way too much heat. My hair was nicely straightened but also smelled very burnt. There are soo many techniques and products on the market that can be used to help straighten natural hair, especially tightly coiled like mines, without the use of excessive heat or relaxers. Even though Ms. Nina the owner is really nice, her techniques are a little outdated.

Nina is very sweet and professional she greets all her clients with a smile. She truly care about her clients hair. She will let you know your hair needs to make it healthy.

Chi hair products used here. Nina had my hair feeling and looking great and I have natural hair, she takes her time. Very friendly atmosphere. Nina also does eyebrows no waxing
