Natural Do

Unfortunately, I have to modify my review. Corliss no longer works at Natural Do. When Corliss opened her own shop, I followed. It is not the location that makes a salon great, it is the stylist. It is really hard to find a natural hair stylist who you can trust with your curls and doesn't have you waiting for hours because they overbooked. Corliss is a treasure. *********** Corliss is a miracle worker. Healthy hair and perfect curls (3C). Easy to maintain at home. She gave the support I needed to go from a bun of below shoulder hair to a perfect pixie.

Very welcoming place. Stylist was very knowledgeable and sincere in the style my husband wanted. Although we were unable to get the service I appreciate her honesty.

Corliss is amazing! She washed my hair with so much ease though most salons have great difficulty she had no issues at all. My hair didn’t tangle with the wash as it does at other salons. She asked about the products I typically use in my hair to mimic & ensure my style fell how I wanted. She gave me great tips on how to separate my curls as well. She was quick and welcoming. I will def return.! The first photo (white shirt) is how I arrived to the salon. The second photo (green shirt) is how I left with my finger coils. The third photo (black sweater) is 2 weeks later once I separated my coils. This was my first time getting this style and she delivered!!!

After visiting six other salons, I have FINALLY found my safe place with Corliss at Natural Do in San Jose. When I arrived, Corliss greeted me with a warm welcome and immediately began my appointment. As someone with lots of thick hair, I've had many stylists complain about how much and how thick my hair is. Corliss was the absolute opposite, showering me with so much praise about my crown. She complimented on how healthy it was and gave me great tips on how to extend the life of my twists. In addition to doing a fabulous job on my hair, Corliss has an incredible personality and is so easy to talk to. I've been looking for someone exactly like her and I'm so glad I finally have. I already have my next appointment book and look forward to being back in Corliss' chair.

I looked forward to every bi monthly silk press appointment with Corliss until I realized how damaging they were for my natural coils. My last appointment in August left my hair thinner and more damaged than ever before, so much that I had to cut off a bit of length on my own. I will not be returning.
