Shenell has been my stylist for several years, and her professionalism and consistency are unmatched. She is always on time, and I never have to wait once I arrive for my scheduled appointment. I’ve been natural most of my life but never really wore my curls because I didn’t know how to care for them. I usually go in for treatments and a silk press, but at my last appointment Shenell asked why I never wear my curls. After a little chat, she encouraged me to try them out, and WOW! She walked me through the steps, recommended products, and gave me the confidence to finally wear my natural hair. I left feeling so confident, beautiful, and educated about my hair. I want to share my honest experience with Natural Diva Salon so others can make an informed decision. My first visit was great — I booked a silk press with a trim and moisture treatment. The stylist, Shenell, was professional, my hair looked great, and it lasted. She followed up with an email asking for a review, and I gladly gave her five stars. Unfortunately, my second visit was a completely different story. Shenell was unprofessional from the start. She was eating during my appointment, openly burping and belching, and even discussed inappropriate topics that made me uncomfortable. I booked the exact same service as before, but this time she used a blow dryer instead of a hooded dryer — a major change that caused my hair to frizz within 30 minutes of leaving the salon. I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Shenell and it was the best decision I’ve made for my hair. This was my first time getting a curly girl haircut and was a bit nervous but she was very professional and knowledgeable about my curl type and what was needed for my hair so I was immediately put at ease. Not only did she give me the service I asked for but she also styled my hair because she wanted me to see the potential my curls had if I styled them properly. I believe that to be going above and beyond my expectations for customer service. Went to Natural Diva's for a Silk Press. Shenell did a wonderful job, as usual! It had been a while since i'd had my hair done so there was a bit of damage. Shenell suggested a strengthening treatment and a well needed cut. Both made all the difference in the world! Shenell is very good about letting you know what you hair needs and making suggestions but she never pushes you into anything. I totally trust my hair care to Shenell (which I do not do very easily!) and she is the BEST!
