Nails Done

It pains me to write this review, but it feels necessary. I started coming here about five months ago. Prior to that, I had Russian manicures consistently for nearly five years while living in NYC. I initially saw Dina at the Encinitas location twice, but switched to Hanna solely because Dina was booked far in advance. Given the pricing, I expected high-level work. Instead, I was shocked. These manicures are more expensive than Russian manicures in Manhattan, yet the quality is significantly worse. This is now the second manicure I’ve had with Hanna that resulted in broken nails, and there has been a consistent pattern across every manicure I’ve had with her. This is by far the best nail salon in San Diego. Nail artists do an impeccable job, my manicures and pedicure last a long time, usually I come in every 3 weeks for my manicure only because my nails grow out but the gel polish remains absolutely is intact and I barely have any skin growth around the nail bed . The Russian style manicure takes special training and time to master. My nail artist Natalia is very gentle, she is detail oriented and takes really good care of my nails. You can’t compare this type of manicure to your local nail shops where you are treated on a time based setting, rushed and the job is half way decent which definitely requires 2 week maintenance, also not very clean. Natalie is amazing! She always does an impeccable job on my nails and is very attentive to the smallest details. I get a hard gel overlay and I love the way my nails turn out every time. If you've been wanting to try a true Russian manicure, I highly recommend booking here!

I found my new favorite nail salon. Mila did a beautiful job, and always made sure I was satisfied during the process! I love how natural my nails look. Definitely recommend!

got a regular pedi + gel mani. super meticulous and clean work (took three hours!) . only downside is i got nicked a few times and it still hurts/itches the next day, especially my feet. not sure if this is typical of a russian mani/pedi though to have some discomfort after though
