Best nail shop in St. Mary’s County. Tom, Akira, Rebecca and the staff at Nail Trix are some of the nicest, most accommodating people you’ll ever meet. This is a small, family run business and they take great pride in keeping their shop clean, welcoming and into putting customers first. They go above and beyond to make sure you walk out happy. This is my go to salon and the work speaks for itself. They treat everyone that walks in to a five star experience in a calm and relaxed environment.

I had a disappointing experience at nail trix. The staff were all very nice. I came in as a walk-in to get a full acrylic set with gel. The nails I got were too long—after requesting they be shortened and was ignored—as well as the incorrect shape. The nails are very thick, not smooth and my cuticles are torn up—to the point it stings terribly when washing my hands/using my hands hours later. They also were not able to do the fairly simple nail art I requested (pictured) to which point I compromised to go without it, and the nail tech attempted to put a marble pattern with neon green, orange, and black on one of the nails instead (which is unpictured as I had him wipe it off). There was acrylic residue left all over my fingers.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Nail Trix today. I had an appointment with a specific technician, but when I arrived, they had taken another client instead. I got a gel pedicure and gel manicure, and unfortunately, neither design turned out as requested. For my pedicure, I asked for a white base with chrome powder on top, but I was given silver glitter with no base color. For my manicure, I requested a nude base with pink and orange flowers, but I ended up with coral polish and white flowers—nowhere near what I asked for. Despite my efforts to clarify, three different technicians got involved, and it became too frustrating to keep explaining the mistakes. I walked in this morning for a Gel X appointment and had a wonderful and pleasant first experience. It’s very hard to find a salon that does Gel X and this salon exceeded my expectations! My nail tech Amy took her time and was so gentle. I love my nails and will definitely be back!

Really love Tom! Today I went in and had a not so pleasurable experience with the guy that sits at seat 3. He seemed agitated. Went for a fill-in had a nail that was detaching from the set—in the middle of me asking if he could glue it back so I could retain my length, he just filed it down. I also wanted a sheet jelly like pink but he insisted it was too light and gave me this other pink that’s still baby pink in color but sided opaque and not sheer/jelly like I wanted. The nail shape is great but customer service is everything. Next time, I’ll just wait for Tom.
