Nail Retreat

This spot is convenient and has a lot of nail techs, but I’d say every 3rd or 4th pedicure, it’s not a winning service. Yesterday evening: the polish didn’t dry. I’m not kidding. The tech said it’s a problem with nail techs thinning polish with acetone. She hurriedly removed the polish after 25 minutes and quickly redid the polish squatting on the floor in front of me. I’ve had brand new techs who did a manicure and it didn’t even last a day. I’ve also had a couple pedicures that the nails weren’t cut properly. I’m not really a picky person—I’d just like a decent pedicure. If anyone reads this and has the name of a great nail tech here or elsewhere in El Dorado Hills, it would be great if you could respond. Management saw what was happening. No comments or apologies.

I had a great pedicure experience at Nail Retreat on Bass Lake, and I have to give a special shoutout to Mindy. The most important part of a pedicure for me is the leg and foot massage, and Mindy gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had during a pedicure. It was relaxing, thorough, and clearly done by someone who really knows what they’re doing. The service overall was wonderful, and I’m so happy I found her. I’ll definitely be requesting Mindy again and highly recommend her to anyone who values an amazing massage as part of their pedicure.

Worst nail job and experience! I came in to get a fill and pedicure. The pedicure was great but the nail techs did a sloppy job, argued with everything I asked and weren’t able to do the simple design I asked for. I explained what I wanted prior to starting. If they couldn’t or didn’t want to do it they should’ve said that and I would’ve gone somewhere else. I was literally happier with my nails when I walked in and they had over 3 weeks of outgrowth! The lady was rude as hell! If you want amateur work pick this place! The pictures below are after over 3 hours of work! How embarrassing!

I’m thrilled to share my experience at Nail Retreat. It’s my first time here, and I’m absolutely blown away by Whitney’s skills. I’m a bit of a nail perfectionist, and I always want my nails to look thin and natural. But Whitney went above and beyond to achieve that perfect look. I highly recommend you visit this place and ask for Whitney. She’s an absolute pro! The salon is also spotless, which adds to the overall experience.

I always leave with high quality nails. Love this place and all the techs! I'll give an extra shout out to Victor. 🙂 Tip: Go during the week (not Friday) when it's less busy, for long lasting beautiful nails and a relaxing experience.
