Nail On 5th

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5 stars) I came in as a walk-in just to check if they had a specific color, but the nail techs were a bit persistent to take me, so I decided to stay and do a service with Yo-Yo since I had the time. She was very kind, accommodating, and advised me to do buildable gel. She also mentioned the service would be around $60 so I agreed to continue. Unfortunately, there was a lot of miscommunication throughout the appointment. I asked for a black shade with a purple or brown hue, but ended up with a red color after several back-and-forths. I stood opstimistic since it is fall and i didn’t want to be one of those customers. She spoke very quickly through her mask, and I tried to be polite and go along with it. Omg guys please go get my girl Aleeennnn she knows her stufffsssss, she’s my to go to always !!! I’m always her walk in cus I can’t keep a appt I’m always late and I don’t wanna keep her … but please book your appointments always for them, don’t feel afraid to ask about prices they are very respectful always. Just know they only have high chairs to sit on while you get your nails did. But overall they are the best when it comes to nails. Btw my nail retention is like 4 weeks too for Uv gel with my nail tech !!!

Clean and modern facilities. Always good music and ambiance. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Karen was patient and kind with my indecision and after I narrowed down from 6 different colors she tested three of them on her fingers so I could be sure in my choice. Good conversations with her and other staff. Went in for a touch up on one thumbnail which they fixed like magic. It was split in the fingernail from my initial visits 2 weeks ago. The man there fixed my thumb this time around and I’m convinced he’s a magician. Reasonably priced, and they had holiday gift at check out which I thought was a nice touch for clients. 10/10 would recommend. Pictures are nails 2.5 weeks old, my natural nails with gel polish. Left thumb is fresh paint and redo.

I saw someone else posting that they got injured during a pedicure and figured it was a rare accident, but during a callous removal I noticed it was really stinging, then noticed I was bleeding quite a bit. The odd thing was, she just never acknowledged it. I initially dismissed it as just a little nick. I didn't realize how much skin she'd removed until I realized it was a little painful to walk home (photo is from the next day). I will say everyone is very nice, they are great with accommodating walk ins and I've gotten great gel manicures here before. But I would not let them do callous removal.

Both negatives and positives. Communication was not great throughout and overall made the experience stressful. The order of steps here is a little different than other places, and every time I asked a question about what was going on, I was brushed off, kinda forced into a “trust the process.” I got polygel (thinking it was going to be builder gel going in), and think the tech might still have been learning how to do it, which is ok but I wish had been communicated beforehand. While it looks good from a distance, up close the thickness of the gel is inconsistent and is overall about 3-4x the thickness my fingernail is already. I like mine relatively short, and am glad I do because the molds for the gel builder are -very- curved and you’ll get claws if you want any longer than this. I felt
