I had such a wonderful experience here and just had to leave a review to support this small business. Musa, the owner, is incredibly sweet, welcoming, and genuinely kind. While it’s known as a braiding and weaving salon, Musa has also added a thrift shoe shop and they also have some clothes available within the space, and it is such a fun and unique experience. She has a huge selection of shoes—so many brands and styles—for babies, kids, and adults. Everything is used but in great condition, and the best part is that every pair is only $5! It honestly feels like a treasure hunt digging through the bins and finding amazing deals. I loved getting my braids done by Mrs. Gladys. I searched high and low for the right Braider at the right price after letting my hair grow back from an undercut. Mrs. Gladys was the perfect find. She’s warm, friendly, and fast. I was worried that she wouldn’t be able to grab the shorter sections of my hair, that were too long to hide, but too short to braid - but she assured me that if she could grab it, she could braid it. I never had any slip out! Her stylists are fast and work together to get you done, while still being gentle. Over the years of getting my hair braided by Mrs. Gladys my hair grew so thick, healthy, and long that it was too much to handle that I cut it again…whomp, whomp… But once I have hair long enough to grab Mrs. Gladys will be my go to once again.

Doing my hair at Musa Braids and Weaves was a very wonderful experience. The two braid stylists that worked on my hair were very gentle with my hair. The owner Ms. Gladys is really sweet and has an amazing personality. I was really comfortable during the whole process. I looked very beautiful when my hair was done. I would recommend this hair braiding salon to any one that wants to get their hair braided professionally.

I received my box braids from Gladys, and she was amazing. She was not heavy handed, she handled my natural hair with care, and she was warming as a person. This being my first time getting braids, she made me feel comfortable upon entering the salon. The salon also has a variety of hair to choose from, which was helpful for a first timer! There happened to be another braider there and because it was a slow day, they both worked on my braids which cut the time down by half! Great place, and highly recommend.
