Moxie Salon And Beauty Bar - Montclair

Moxie in Montclair is my home away from home! I come every other week and have never left disappointed. Blowouts, haircuts, glaze, color- all of it. They have excellent hours and an easy booking system. Fairly priced, especially if you purchase their packages. A fun atmosphere..diverse stylists and clients.. great location.. it's what Montclair is all about. My young son and daughter also come here and they do an amazing job. Special shout outs to Eve, Millie, Karyn. The front desk ladies are the sweetest. The manager Shante (sorry if misspelled) is an absolute professional and so kind. Eve is my go to girl and her talents are out of this world. I might be impartial but I'm pretty sure this is the best Moxie 😀

I had an amazing experience today at Moxie Montclair. I frequently visit for my blowouts and have always been very happy with my hair. Today as I was waiting for my blowout, the founder of the company approached me asking if I would like color services. I politely declined and told her I have a stylist for my color and told her I was pressed for time. She politely asked me to try the service with one of her top stylist who was at the salon with her and promised me she would have me out in the time I mentioned. I was a bit hesitant but decided to give it a try and I have to say the results were amazing!! I absolutely love the color and how we were treated today. They went above and beyond to make sure I left feeling beautiful! Thank you to Jamie, Melanie and everyone at Moxie Montclair.

i usually go here for my hair and makeup but never again. i had an appt scheduled for 11:30am. Sat there until 12:15 while the stylists stood in the back drinking starbucks and NO ONE came over to even say anything. no one was even at the front desk for me to speak to i had to walk around and find someone. I told them multiple times i had a wedding to be to and this was cutting it close. Finally they sit me down with a woman who didn't even apologize for being late. i showed her what i wanted (simple curled half up style which i was booked for.) she then proceeds to ask me if i brough any stuff with me because she's new and has nothing. So basically she needed hair spray and bobby pins and asked ME if i had any. i was like what? she ended up getting some from the back. curled my hair with

Mike and Gina are genuinely the sweetest and most talented hairstylists to exist. I adore them so much and I am so lucky to have met them. Every time I get my hair done by one of them, I just feel so amazing. I am so thankful to keep getting to feel like this every time I step into moxie. 10/10 experience always!!!!! For my senior prom, they made my hair look amazing even though it was raining and I was so happy. Love them so much!!!!

I visited this location a couple of weeks ago for a makeup appointment I had scheduled. My appointment was at 5:00 PM, but I had trouble finding parking and arrived at 5:10. While I was walking toward the salon, someone called to ask where I was. I told her I was on my way and would be there in less than five minutes. When I arrived, I checked in with the receptionist, who told me to have a seat. I waited for an hour without being called. During that time, I noticed there were only two people working—one doing makeup and the other doing a blowout. Eventually, the receptionist called me over and had me sit in the makeup area, then she told me to wait because someone would be with me shortly. I assumed it would be the same person who had just finished with another client. However, about 10
