The Mountain Echo is lucky to have Terry! He was friendly, efficient, enthusiastic, and very helpful. Glad to see someone with passion for the community in the office. Wishing I could see more of this passion from the owners and management!

Three stars is an awful high number for this paper. However, it i a local paper that must have a hard time having enough content week to week. More 'hard-hitting' information being share might amount to local gossip being given credence; and in the country, gossip travels faster than it does on Facebook. While there is not lot to talk about, the paper does cover what is needed. The basics. Wrecks. Openings. Closings. Classifieds. The essentials. The treasure hunt has been fun to be a part of. Well, except that one year I almost got bite by a rattle-snake reaching in the bushes assisting a friend in the his haunt! I might note that other than near Taum Saunk Mountain with my father Victor/Jinks Jackson I have never seen one so large! M.E. is a decent, Oay paper, and here and there I enjo

It would be nice to hear local news, or local obituaries. I know nobody from piedmont, bunker, Greenville, etc. will not renew subscription.
