Motown Barbershop

Walked in with no appointment. Didn’t realize I arrived a few minutes after the shop closed. Without hesitation Mo invited me in and said he would stay late to trim my beard. Gave me some suggestions on how to get it trimmed, and did exactly what I was looking for. Mo is very skilled and equally friendly. His shop is extremely clean and reflects his personal professionalism. He said his barbershop has been here for 11 years—it’s so great to see a small business like this anchoring downtown Davis. Shop small, support local! Highly recommend Motown Barbershop. I will be back!

Mo has been my barber for the past 5 years and it’s been an absolute pleasure going to him. He’s a highly skilled barber that really takes his time with every cut. After years of cutting my own hair, bad haircuts etc., it has been a relief to find Mo. The environment at Motown is always relaxed and fun. Cuts are reasonably priced and I have never left feeling scammed/hustled/disregarded. I love Motown so much that even after moving to SF, I still drive to his shop in Davis for a cut. 10/10 would recommend

Mo’s been my barber for the past few years and I enjoy coming here to get my hair cut. Mo is super easy to talk to about how I want my hair cut and easy to talk to about sports or life, making it a chill and personal experience. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants solid, consistent cuts at a reasonable price.
